Oh man i got soo excited when i saw the title for this post! A lot of my Granny's recipes call for buttermilk, and i need a good substitute. But alas, i've done the vinegar method many times with very poor outcomes. Have you had success with this?
The substitute has worked well for my purposes like muffins, pancakes, waffles, cakes, ect. But also, I'm not trying to make flaky biscuits or fried chicken for which there may be no replacement to buttermilk??
